ACCOUNTING POLICY ANALYST

$75,000- $90,000

OVERVIEW OF THE ACCOUNTING POLICY ANALYST ROLE:

• Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant standards.
• Provide technical accounting guidance and support to various departments within the organization.
• Monitor changes in accounting standards and assess their impact on the company's financial reporting and policies.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with SOX requirements and other regulatory obligations.
• Conduct research on complex accounting issues and prepare position papers as needed.
• Participate in the development of training materials and provide training on accounting policies and procedures.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ACCOUNTING POLICY ANALYST:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in public accounting or financial services, with a focus on accounting policy and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and SOX compliance.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and apply complex accounting standards.
