About the Role
The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Engagement to serve as an executive strategic partner in the Student Affairs organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing the student experience, increasing student success, and supporting overall campus engagement. This role involves directing complex programs, making critical decisions in the absence of the Vice Chancellor, and representing the Student Affairs organization at various events and committees. The Assistant Vice Chancellor will also provide executive-level leadership, be accountable for budget and financial oversight, and manage a large team across multiple student engagement units. Applicants for the Assistant Vice Chancellor position must have an advanced degree in a related area, with a preference for a PhD, Ed. D., or J.D. degree, and 10-15 years of related experience. The role requires a candidate with a strong background in preparing and administering divisional budgets, as well as previous supervisory and managerial experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for inclusion, equity, and social justice, and be adept at managing high-risk departments with sensitive issues. Responsibilities include leading organization-wide initiatives, making policy decisions, and ensuring the success of student engagement programs that impact various aspects of student life, including career development, community service, and leadership. The position demands a leader who can effectively manage a large team and is committed to creating a culture of student engagement and success.
