Summary:
Plans and directs plant production operations and improvements. Supports plant operations with chemical engineering expertise. Becomes the technology expert for processes. Contributes to plant and process design and implementation and supports production teams to work safely to achieve targets in the areas of production, costs, and quality product.

Key responsibilities:
· Processes trials and process improvements
· Helps supervise controls, equipment and distributed control system
· Continuously strives for improvements in safety, productivity, quality, reliability and cost
· Participates or leads PSM activities and audits.
· Leads PHA revalidations.

Required Education/Experience:
BS in Chemical Engineering with 4+ years of experience in chemical engineering with a working knowledge of chemical process operations, OSHA, and PSM. Chemical or polymer plant manufacturing experience is required.

Preferred experience in the following: reaction, distillation, filtration, polymerization, crystallization, separation are primary unit operations. Preferred equipment familiarity typical of chemical processes: reactors, heat exchangers, tanks, separators, crystallizers, centrifuges, filters/strainers, pumps.
