Job Description – Corporate Legal Counsel

FSLA Status: Exempt

Location: Lordstown, OH

Reports To: Head of Legal

Primary Function: D-group US Corporate legal counsel is tasked with analyzing and identifying the local legal risks for business’s transactions, labor disputes, drafting and reviewing the various commercial contracts and agreements, keeping the management in all Foxconn Ohio site departments of the business informed of developments in laws and regulations that potentially affect the business.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Draft and review contracts, letters and other documents related to a variety of trade, commercial, promotional, regulatory, financial, labor and other operational matters
• Collaborate with a variety of internal cross-functional units on business engagements and participate in negotiations with external partners
• Perform legal consultation and advisory work
• Advise on strategic projects such as acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures
• Work closely with national/regional/global legal teams to drive alignment with national (cross-sector), regional, and global legal best practices.
• Oversee the contract management process and provide related trainings as needed.
• Perform litigation and claim investigation as well as outside counsel management and collaboration.

Required Education

• Must be legally qualified (law degree) and able to practice law in the US - US Bar certification in California, Ohio or Texas is preferred.

Required Experience

• 5-10 years of legal experience.

Requires Skills/Licenses/Certifications

• Fluent in both English and Mandarin - written and spoken (native proficiency not required in both languages).
• Strong leadership skills.
• Team player - able to forge good working relationships at all levels of the business.
• Takes an active interest in business and commercial issues
• Strong communication skills and ability to establish relationships within the legal department and across all business functions worldwide
• Willingness to travel - especially to Taiwan.
