As a Data Analyst/Engineer , you will be responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of data pipelines and reporting systems. You will work closely with our data engineering team to ensure data integrity and availability, supporting various business intelligence and analytics initiatives.

This position is based in Ohio, and candidates must possess the ability to travel to various office locations throughout the state as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Pipeline Development: Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines using Python and SQL to ensure efficient data flow and integration across different systems. ETL of data from on premise SQL databases and cloud hosted API’s.
  • Database Management: Collaborate in managing and optimizing on premise and cloud databases to support data processing and retrieval.
  • Reporting and Visualization: Utilize Power BI to create and manage interactive dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to stakeholders. Utilize SQL to write queries as a foundation of the Power BI reports.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Monitor and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality across all data sources and pipelines.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional internal and external teams to understand data needs and provide technical support for data-related queries.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for data processes, pipelines, and reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL for querying and managing relational databases.
  • Proficiency in Python preferred for data manipulation and pipeline development.
  • Experience with Power BI for creating visualizations and reports.
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets and derive meaningful insights.
  • Ability to learn new concepts quickly and how to apply them to problems in new and novel ways through training or self-learning.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to group goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with additional data engineering tools or platforms (e.g., Apache Spark, Snowflake, AWS, Azure).
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
  • Experience with CI/CD version control systems like Git.
  • Experience with Application Programming Interfaces (API’s).
  • Previous experience working with external customers is a bonus.
  • SSIS, SQL Stored Procedures, Views, query performance tweaking.
