Our company is seeking a dynamic Estimator with a focus on Commercial Construction. This position is an integral part of our team and will play a significant role in the successful execution of our construction projects. We are looking for an individual who is detail-oriented, possesses a strong work ethic, and is committed to providing exceptional service to our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for estimating the cost of commercial construction projects, researching and presenting bids, and negotiating contracts. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Conducting site visits to gather all necessary data for preparing estimates.
  • Assessing project demands, including labor, materials, and time requirements.
  • Researching bids from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring their quotes are accurate and competitive.
  • Preparing detailed construction proposals that clearly outline the scope of work, timeline, and costs.
  • Negotiating contracts to ensure the best possible terms for the company.
  • Preparing quantity surveys for all materials, labor, equipment, and services required for the project.
  • Presenting bid packages to clients and stakeholders in a clear and professional manner.
  • Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and architects during the pre-construction phase to ensure all aspects of the project are accounted for in the estimate.
  • Staying current with industry trends and advancements, including changes in construction costs, regulations, and building codes.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, preferably in commercial construction.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred.
  • Proficient in construction estimating software and tools.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction processes, materials, and standards.
  • Excellent numerical skills and ability to produce accurate, detailed estimates.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of securing favorable contracts.
  • Ability to conduct thorough site visits and accurately assess project demands.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively present bid packages to various stakeholders.
  • Strong research skills, with the ability to source and analyze bids from various subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals, including project managers, engineers, and architects.
  • Strong understanding of building codes and regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
