About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Financial Aid to provide visionary leadership and management of the financial aid office, ensuring the equitable and timely delivery of financial aid services. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising daily operations, hiring and mentoring staff, and developing annual department plans that align with strategic college goals. As the primary institutional contact for the Department of Education, the Executive Director must monitor and communicate changes in federal and state regulations, ensuring compliance in all financial aid programs. This role also involves preparing for and coordinating audits, and providing updates on compliance and policy matters to college leadership. Applicants for the Executive Director of Financial Aid position at the company must have a Master's degree in higher education, finance, or a related area, and at least five years of experience in administering state and federal financial aid programs at a post-secondary level. The role requires expertise in financial aid-related software and web systems, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple complex projects. The ideal candidate will have a high level of integrity, be able to work effectively with a diverse population and demonstrate a commitment to the strategic enrollment and student success goals of the college. Responsibilities also include serving as a budget control officer, overseeing the development of financial aid policies, and participating in various college committees and teams.
