The firm is seeking a paralegal to support a family law practice routinely serving clients with complex needs. The office is located in Rockville, MD, but this is a hybrid position that allows for remote work. Compensation is commensurate with experience. Schedule and benefits are negotiable, and dependent on the applicant's skill set, experience, and work schedule (part-time, full-time, etc.).
The job entails all aspects of legal support to attorneys, including:
· direct interaction with and support of clients
· preparation of financial statements, property statements and other summaries
· drafting and review of discovery requests and responses
· preparation of basic pleadings and motions
· assisting in all aspects of trial preparation
· researching and analyzing statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources and providing written analysis to attorneys
Applicants should also be conversant with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and should be comfortable learning and adapting to a variety of software and technology. Experience with Clio is a plus.
