Job Description

Are you passionate about helping organizations unlock the full potential of their HR and payroll technology? As a Technical Consultant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless implementation, optimization, and transformation of HRIS platforms for clients. You'll combine technical expertise with in-depth knowledge of HR, benefits, and payroll systems to create tailored solutions that drive efficiency and deliver lasting value.

Your work will span across a variety of projects, including new system implementations, optimization of existing systems, troubleshooting technical challenges, and designing solutions that enhance the overall HRIS experience for clients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a collaborative, client-focused environment and values innovation and autonomy.

Key Responsibilities

Act as a trusted advisor to clients during implementation projects, focusing on technical configurations, system integrations, and testing to ensure successful outcomes.
Oversee project tasks, such as payroll transitions, system optimizations, and validation, ensuring timely completion of key milestones.
Configure workflows and build custom reports that maximize the value and functionality of the platform.
Conduct system training sessions to empower clients and drive user adoption.
Collaborate with clients to analyze current processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend best practices.
Partner with platform vendors to troubleshoot and design solutions for client needs.
Participate in pre-sales scoping efforts to evaluate project requirements and estimate resources.
Develop and execute test scripts and audits for technical configurations during all project phases (e.g., SIT, UAT, parallel testing, go-live).
Serve as the liaison between clients, platform vendors, and internal technical teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment.
Provide insights and recommendations for optimizing clients' technical architecture to enhance data accuracy and eliminate errors.
Collaborate with project managers to track open issues, maintain detailed documentation, and resolve technical challenges promptly.
Utilize tools like Microsoft Excel to validate data accuracy and support project teams.

Your Skills and Expertise

Platform Knowledge: Expertise with HRIS platforms such as Ceridian Dayforce or Workday, including custom reporting, implementation processes, and payroll processing.
Technical Proficiency: Experience working with integrations, including API, EDI, and flat-file processing, as well as troubleshooting and data mapping.
Client-Focused Experience: At least 3 years in a client-facing implementation role, with the ability to lead and own projects.
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and QA abilities to ensure complete validation of technical configurations and client data.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with HR-related processes, such as open enrollment, benefits administration, and compliance requirements.
Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and remain calm under pressure.
Technical Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and a knack for learning and teaching HRIS software platforms.
Educational Background: High school diploma required; bachelor's degree in a computer-related field preferred.
