Responsibilities
- Operating Sewing Machines: Efficiently operate industrial sewing machines to stitch, assemble, and finish products according to specifications.
- Fabric Handling: Properly position and align fabrics and other materials under sewing needles to ensure accurate stitching.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished products for defects, ensuring that seams, hems, and other stitching meet quality standards.
- Machine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on sewing machines, including cleaning, oiling, and troubleshooting minor issues to ensure smooth operation.
- Pattern Interpretation: Read and interpret sewing patterns or instructions to accurately follow the construction process.
- Thread Management: Load thread onto bobbins and adjust machine settings to maintain consistent stitching and tension.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols to prevent accidents, including proper use of machine guards and personal protective equipment.
- Production Reporting: Keep records of completed work, including the quantity of items sewn and any issues encountered during the process.
