Job Description
Summary of the position: The Irrigation Manager is responsible for overall management and oversight of each irrigation crew, including quality control, scheduling, training and hiring.
Goal: Effectively manage all Irrigation Crews to produce and perform work in a safe and efficient manner, while exceeding customer expectations in quality and service. The irrigation team will act as its own division while collaborating with construction and maintenance divisions to deliver premium product to our client base.
Duties:
- Establish and successfully meet key performance indicators for irrigation sales, performance, and client retention.
- Deliver communications on a consistent basis via phone, text, email, or other appropriate technology to maintain excellent communications, high standards, and growing relations.
- Create training protocol for all Irrigation staff in basic water management services (i.e. Spring Start-ups, Site Inspections, Winterizations etc.)
- Schedule and oversight of both in house crews and subcontractor crews.
- Ensure Contractual services are completed for each site
- Provide weekly updates for hours used track inventory and materials used
- Responsible for maximizing job site efficiencies while maintaining employee morale and safety
- Estimate services and help sales team sell work
- Assist in the design process for irrigation related items
- Appraise crew performance and resolve any conflict
- Maintain professional and courteous communication with clients when responding to customer needs or questions.
- Be flexible in scheduling and supervising of changing crews as the season progresses.
- Adapts well to schedule changes and be flexible in the fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work well with all crew members and multiple supervisors.
- Additional duties as assigned. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time.
Job requirements:
Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Managerial occupation. Minimum 3 years of experience in Landscape Water Management Operations preferred. Strong effective communication skills. Time management skills. Must have a valid driver's license, and an insurable driving record. Computer skills, creative problem solving, personnel management, organization, and customer service skills/experience preferred. Bilingual -Spanish a plus.
Educational Requirements: Four-year College or University program degree or certificate; or four (or more) years related experience and/or training.
Physical Demands: Must be able to lift/carry materials up to 50lbs on a regular and consistent basis, move about the work site. Requires extended periods of activity including, walking, standing, kneeling, bending, and lifting, up to 100% of a workday.
Work Environment: Exposed to exterior elements (i.e., pollen, chemicals, cold and heat etc.). External environment with all weather and terrain exposure.
