IT Manager- Yuma Proving Ground

EMI Services is seeking a skilled IT Manager to enhance operational efficiency. The role involves overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, databases, and other hardware and software system. Candidates should have extensive network maintenance knowledge and demonstrated team/project management skills. Staying informed about industry advancements is essential. The IT manager will directly influence operational efficiency and drive initiatives that improve internal processes and overall productivity.

Salary

$60,000- $75,000 (DOE) plus employer paid insurance

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware
  • Take responsibility for projects and solutions within the larger business initiative
  • Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems administration
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software
  • Track and maintain hardware and software inventory

  • Expert knowledge of IT best practices, policies and regulations
  • In-depth understanding of programming, computer science and digital security
  • Good communication, including writing, speaking and active listening
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Advanced leadership and conflict management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Great project management skills, including organization, planning, time management and prioritization

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information science, or a related field
  • 5 + years of experience in IT management
  • Deep knowledge of programming languages and operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and systems performance monitoring
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
  • Regular, dependable attendance required
  • U.S. citizenship to obtain and maintain access to military installations

Physical Requirements

  • Carrying objects/boxes/print-outs short distances
  • Extensive work with a personal computer
  • Lifting and moving as much as 50 pounds with assistance
  • Use of hands, reaching with hands and arms, talking, and walking
  • Prolonged periods of sitting, bending, squatting, standing, twisting, or stooping
