Our Company We are a nationwide company with over 10 years of experience as a market leader providing premium quality computer repair and IT support services. We are currently looking for field technicians to service our residential and small business customers.
The
Low Voltage Technician is responsible, accountable, and able to work in an unsupervised location, facing clients directly. You could be tasked with maintaining of Smart home peripherals such as ring Doorbell Smart home systems, troubleshooting errors, maintaining internet connectivity, running diagnostic tests, maintaining and providing technical support. You could also be responsible of the installation and configuration of TV, surveillance, automation and networked systems in mainly residential, but also commercial spaces.
Please note, this is a
1099 independent contractor position. You are also responsible for tools, having your own vehicle and valid driver's license, and vehicle maintenance.
Responsibilities: Low Voltage System Integration: Install, configure, and integrate low voltage systems, including alarm and camera systems, audio systems and networks. Ensure the smooth operation and functionality of these systems, while adhering to industry standards and client specifications.
Project Management: Take ownership of assigned projects and manage them from start to finish. This includes coordinating with clients, understanding project requirements, creating project plans, and overseeing the installation and integration process. Provide leadership and guidance to a team of technicians to ensure timely completion and successful project delivery.
Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Conduct troubleshooting and maintenance activities on low voltage systems to identify and resolve technical issues. Perform routine inspections, system upgrades, and repairs to ensure optimal system performance and client satisfaction.
Documentation and Reporting: Create accurate and detailed documentation of project specifications, installation procedures, and system configurations. Generate progress reports, service tickets, and other documentation as required, maintaining clear communication channels with clients and internal teams.
Requirements: •High School Diploma, or equivalent
•PC imaging and configuration
•Troubleshoot hardware and network issues
•Aptitude for helping people use and understand the technology
•Ability to learn on the job
•In-depth knowledge and usage of smart devices and their systems
•Experience in smart device installation, hardware diagnostics and configuration
•Able to climb ladders, work at heights, and lift and carry items unassisted
•Must have a knowledge of general construction and electrical principles
