Job Title: Master Electrician – Electrical Assembly Line Worker

Location: Dallas, TX 75211

Pay: $35.75/hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Master Electrician to join our team, specializing in electrical power genset packaging for data centers, power control modules (PCMs), and load-commutated inverter (LCI) electrical installations for the oil and gas industry. This role focuses on performing electrical work in an assembly line setting, including the installation, wiring, and integration of systems within sheet metal and structural steel enclosures for power generation equipment and related products. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in industrial electrical systems and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and wire electrical systems for genset packaging, PCMs, and LCIs in compliance with industry standards.
  • Integrate electrical components such as switchgear, transformers, control panels, and power distribution units within enclosures.
  • Perform conduit bending, cable routing, and terminations to meet design specifications.
  • Conduct functional and continuity tests on installed systems to ensure proper operation and compliance with standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical issues in gensets, control modules, and related systems.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams to execute accurate installations.
  • Verify installations against engineering drawings and project requirements.
  • Adhere to OSHA, NEC (National Electrical Code), and company safety standards.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes and industry regulations in all installations.
  • Work closely with engineers, project managers, and assembly line teams to achieve production targets.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior electricians or apprentices as needed.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot electrical tools and equipment used in assembly.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure all systems and installations meet high standards of reliability and performance.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a certified electrician program or apprenticeship.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Valid Master Electrician license required.
  • Certifications in industrial electrical systems, such as PLC programming or advanced motor controls, are a plus.

Experience:

  • 5–10 years of experience in industrial electrical work, preferably in genset packaging or oil and gas applications.
  • Strong background in electrical installations within heavy equipment fabrication and manufacturing environments.

Skills:

  • Expertise in electrical codes, industrial wiring, and power systems.
  • Proficiency with tools and equipment such as multimeters, conduit benders, and cable testers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, assembly-line setting while meeting tight deadlines.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and handle heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs).
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights, or in industrial environments.
  • Stamina to perform physically demanding tasks and long hours when required.
