Job Title: Oracle Apex Developer Location: Richmond, VA (Remote) Duration: 9+ months Contract *Although this is a remote position, the agency and hiring manager prefer local Richmond, VA candidates *please do not submit candidates who have been submitted to previous VDH Oracle APEX reqs Virginia Vital Events and Screening Tracking System (VVESTS) is a 24x7 secure web-based application that allows authorized users to register and manage vital events and infant screenings. The application is currently implemented in Oracle 19c database using PL/SQL Web toolkit, APEX 22.1,HTML, JavaScript, CSS etc. Job duties include -

• Developing Required Interfaces or make changes to the existing interfaces based on new requirements • Converting existing PL/SQL Web toolkit application into APEX 22.1
• Review code/functionality in PL/SQL Web toolkit application and design/develop pages in APEX
• Validating the functionality of converted pages
• Use the latest web technologies and latest JavaScript/jQuery frameworks, Templates and CSS styles to mitigate the security vulnerabilities and enforce strict compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Bug fixes in existing PL/SQL Web toolkit application
• Job duties may also include, but are not limited to: conducting feasibility studies; analyzing new requirements; preparing functional and system specifications for application programmers; developing data models and system designs; developing complex program codes; testing application and evaluating results for accuracy, timelines and integrative features; preparing documentation; implementing and supporting data processing systems

Required Experience Five or more years of work experience is required in:

• Oracle 12c/18c/19c Database
• SQL, PL/SQL programming Three or more years of work experience is required in:
• Oracle Apex
• Javascript or Jquery
• HTML Strong designing, development, and troubleshooting skills required.

Good oral and written communication skills are required. Ability to work on multiple projects/issues simultaneously. Must have the ability to assess the impact of software upgrades and other environment changes. Five or more years of work experience is required in Oracle 18c/19c Database, SQL, PL/SQL programming. Experience in conducting feasibility studies; analyzing new requirements; preparing functional and system specifications for application programmers; developing data models and system designs; developing complex program codes; testing application and evaluating results for accuracy, timelines and integrative features; preparing documentation; implementing and supporting data processing systems is required.
