Summary:
Information Technology analysts perform tasks specific to their clinical application. Consequently, an analyst works closely with clinicians and information technology to design and build their specific application to support clinician workflows. An analyst fulfills a set of general responsibilities during different project phases.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists with policy and procedure development for designated department/function responsibilities.
Participates as testing and go-live team member when appropriate.
Provides application systems assistance to the departmental/functional team, particularly in technology and system related areas.
Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automate, approaches for application administration tasks.
Perform ongoing performance tuning and resource optimization as required.
Investigates and helps resolve application problems.
Perform daily application/system/security monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of designated applications and resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system/interface and application logs.
If applicable, helps maintain appropriate interfaces for supported application(s).
Supports end-user training.
Provides ongoing post conversion solution support for the Information Technology Department.
Ability to translate clinician workflow to information system requirements.
Participates in on-call activities necessitated by their supported application and deemed appropriate by their manager.

Strong communication skills with ability to collaborate at multiple organizational levels across the health system required.
