Job Description

Description of the role: The Automotive Parts Manager in Training at Auffenberg Dealer Group will be responsible for learning and mastering all aspects of managing and overseeing the automotive parts department. This role will involve working closely with the Parts Manager to gain knowledge and training in inventory management, ordering and procurement, customer service, and team leadership. The Parts Manager in Training will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the parts department and maximizing customer satisfaction. Responsibilities: - Assist the Parts Manager in the day-to-day operations of the parts department. - Learn and understand the processes and procedures involved in inventory management, including stocking, tracking, and replenishing parts. - Assist with parts ordering and procurement, ensuring accurate and timely delivery. - Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their parts needs and inquiries. - Learn and train other team members on parts catalog systems and software. - Assist in developing and implementing strategies to increase parts department efficiency and productivity. - Collaborate with the service department to ensure timely and accurate parts delivery for repairs and maintenance. - Maintain a clean and organized parts department. Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent. - Previous experience in an automotive parts department is preferred, but not required. - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Proficiency in using computer systems and software for parts catalog and inventory management. - Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. - Valid driver's license.
