Job purpose:

• Generates Final ‘Class A’ Surface Data in collaboration with Styling, Packaging, Engineering, Supplier & Factory in all stages from Concept to Production Stages to support Mass Production. Acts as a Mentor for data quality & efficiency.
• Functions as a Project Leader (PL) and/or Person in Charge (PIC) to support issuance of Official Data used for Factory & Tooling Data.
• Leads production projects, and responsible for delivering quality data to Ohio team on time.

 Key Accountabilities:

• Generates & manages ‘Class A’ Surface Data from Concept to Production Stages to support Mass Production and ensure quality and on-time delivery.
• Performs as a Data Project Leader for FMCs or collaborates with project leader for MMC/FMC development.
• Leads discussions with Ohio Engineers to incorporate high level feasibility for Final Production Data & leads data team members to apply feasibility in the dataset.
• Functions as data technical expert to observe and collect information on data quality, method and gives input regarding technical process and method as needed.
• Generates reports to supervisor, PL, GL and/or Manager of issues and gaps related to area of responsibility in a timely manner.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline or equivalent technical experience (Advanced Catia and/or Alias CAD Software).
• 10 or more years of experience.
• Advanced understanding of Injection Molded Plastics and/or Sheet Metal Stamping fundamentals.
• Advanced understanding of Theoretical Intersections, Curve relationships, Smoothing, & G3 Curvature Continuous Curves
• Strong knowledge and experience with Surface highlights, Curve Analysis, Draft, & min Radius Tools
• Highly detail-oriented with Appearance Quality, encompasses a deep understanding of Fit & Finish, Gaps, & Flushness
