Join our dynamic team as a Program Manager for the DrPH Program within the Department of Social Behavioral and Population Science! In this vital role, you will support the academic and administrative needs of advanced-level DrPH students, ensuring they thrive in their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities
Student Support: Track student progress through the Applied Practice Experience (APE) and Integrated Learning Experience (ILE) processes. Collaborate with APE/ILE faculty to set up Canvas sites, maintain documentation, and assist with formal-signature tracking.
Academic Coordination: Work closely with the DrPH Academic Advisor and Program Manager to ensure timely completion of APE/ILE requirements, contributing to a smooth graduation process.
Digital Management: Utilize digital tools to efficiently manage student tracking and documentation tasks.
Networking Development: Create and maintain a database of DrPH APE site placements, preceptor information, and alumni contacts to build a supportive network for current and future students.
Event Coordination: Source and manage the SBPS & DrPH Speaker Series, ensuring engaging virtual components and overseeing all logistical details, from securing speakers to coordinating technical support.
Travel Assistance: Help faculty and students navigate the Concur Travel & Reimbursement platform by creating documentation and troubleshooting any issues to facilitate smooth travel experiences.
Additional Support: Provide administrative assistance on various projects and initiatives as needed, fostering collaboration within the SBPS department.
Reporting Structure
You will report to the Senior Department Administrator while collaborating closely with the DrPH Program Manager. This dual reporting structure promotes cohesive support and teamwork within the department and program.
Work Schedule
Enjoy a flexible work schedule with the option for partial remote work. Some evening availability will be required to accommodate program needs.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's Degree with two years of relevant experience in program coordination or project/event management, ideally with a public focus. OR
High School Diploma/Equivalent with six years of relevant experience.
Preferred:
Two or more years of administrative experience in a post-secondary academic institution with a student-facing focus.
Familiarity with Public Health, either through a relevant degree (BPH, MPH, DrPH, PhD) or work experience.
Proficiency in systems used at the institution, such as Concur, SciQuest, Banner, and Slate.
