PT Night Auditor(Friday & Saturday Overnights) Location Elgin, IL :

Night Auditor position will require two overnight audit shifts on Friday and Saturday.

Position Summary:

Night Auditor

MUST have experience. Will work closely with the Accounting, Front Office and Housekeeping teams. This position works the overnight shift.

This position will check-in/check-out hotel guests in a timely and professional manner; and process all payments according to established procedures. Make reservations, answer phone calls and outgoing calls. And other duties for the customer service of the hotel.

Qualifications Requirements include holding a High School diploma or equivalent, plus one year front desk/guest service experience. Some college is preferred. You will be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays. Knowledge of OPERA system.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests.
• Balance Ledger Night auditors are responsible for accounting for the day's cash flow, reconciling guest accounts, and preparing a daily revenue report. If errors are detected, the night auditor will have to research the cause. If the cause can't be found, the auditor will need to notify the hotel manager the next day.
• Handles confidential information, including guest records, with a high degree of integrity.
• Promptly and effectively deals with guest requests and complaints.
• Answers and routes calls as appropriate; takes guest messages with accuracy.
• Maintains accurate records including cash flows, registration cards, reservation cards, and property walks.
• Answers inquires pertaining to hotel services; registration of guests; and travel directions.
• Generate folios to each occupied guest room.
• Handle Overnight Emergencies

Job Requirements:

• Ability to walk / stand for hours at a time.
• Ability to bend, push, pull, lift 15 pounds.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
• Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to prepare and analyze data figures and transcriptions prepared on and generated by computer.
• Knowledge of computer accounting programs (Excel spreadsheet) and basic math skills.
• Ability to stand for hours at a time.
• Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, bending, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
• High school or equivalent education required. College degree preferred.
• Minimum of one year hotel or night audit experience; cash-handling experience.
• Excellent guest service skills are a must.
