Position Summary: The Senior Materials Engineer is responsible for working on new product development, validations and monitors daily quality and engineering duties.

• Develops Polymer formulation.
• Operates polymer processing equipment such as extrusion, injection molding, and 3D printing.
• Leads the commercialization of new products working with suppliers and customers.
• Guides new product and process qualifications for medical applications.
• Completes test method validations.
• Monitors the production process, identifies, and implements improvements.
• Manages equipment designs and improvement projects from concept to installation and verification.
• Provides complex statistical analysis of data using Six Sigma methodologies.
• Troubleshoots production and lab equipment issues and implements corrective actions.
• Write complex procedures and quality programs.
• Mentors’ employees and teammates.
• Assess regulatory requirements to implement proactive programs to ensure compliance.
• Implements of preventive actions to reduce quality or safety risks.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
• Master's degree or Doctorate’s in Chemical or Material Science and Engineering; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
• Read, analyze and interpret complex documents. Respond effectively to sensitive inquiries. Write speeches and articles using innovative techniques. Make persuasive presentations on complex topics to management, public groups and/or boards of directors.
Mathematical Ability:
• Comprehend and apply principles of advanced calculus, algebra and advanced statistical theory. Work with concepts such as limits, rings, quadratic and differential equations, and proofs of theorems.
Reasoning Ability:
• Apply logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Deal with nonverbal symbolism (e.g., formulas and equations) in difficult phases. Deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
