We are seeking a skilled Tax Preparer who is an Enrolled Agent to join our team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with a team of tax experts to assist our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing a variety of income tax returns, including 1040, 1065, 1041, 1120, 1120S, and others.
Responsibilities:
As an Enrolled Agent, you will be entrusted with the following responsibilities:
- Prepare and review individual, trust, and business tax returns, including federal, state, and local filings.
- Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information and address any tax-related questions or concerns.
- Assist in tax planning and strategy discussions, providing valuable insights to optimize clients' tax positions.
- Assist clients with tax audits and represent them before tax authorities when necessary.
- Utilize your PTIN and/or CAF credentials to represent clients before the IRS, resolving any issues or disputes that may arise.
- Stay updated on the latest tax laws and regulations, ensuring our firm and clients are always ahead of any changes.
- Work collaboratively with our team of tax professionals, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- Must hold an active Enrolled Agent (EA) license.
- Should have a Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) and/or a Centralized Authorization File (CAF) number.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in income tax preparation.
- Proficient in preparing federal 1040, 1065, 1041, 1120, and 1120S tax returns.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax matters in simple terms.
- Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A strong commitment to maintaining the highest standards of ethics and professionalism.
