General Functions:
The Training Specialist I/II will work to recruit, connect, engage and enroll prospective students into the Career Development Department’s Training Scholarships and Grants program through the Career Development (CD) Department. This position will work under the supervision of the Education and Training Manager to assist applicants and current job seekers through the eligibility and enrollment process for the Tribal Scholarsips and Grants programs. This position will assist students in completing education and career assessments, assisting the student through the enrollment process with the training facility as needed, assisting the students through CITC’s Training enrollment process, tracking and documenting the students progress to achieve successful program outcomes, provide job leads and coordinate job readiness activities, coordinate job placements (subsidized and non), retention follow up, develop employment plans, provide integrated case management, provide referrals and supportive services, and provide regular employment counseling. This Training Specialist I/II will also be responsible for regularly attending outreach events in the community to recruit and share information on CITC’s Training Grants and Scholarship programs available to our Job Seekers.
