Job Description

Vascular Ultrasound Technologist

Location: Peoria, IL

Position: Contract Onsite

Duration: 20 Weeks

Shift: 8 hour Days

Job Summary:

As a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist, you will perform diagnostic imaging procedures to evaluate blood flow and vascular conditions. You will work closely with physicians to provide high-quality imaging and contribute to patient diagnosis and treatment planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and interpret vascular ultrasound exams, including carotid, venous, and arterial studies.
  • Prepare and maintain imaging equipment and ensure proper calibration.
  • Analyze images to identify abnormalities and provide detailed reports.
  • Collaborate with physicians to discuss findings and suggest further diagnostic steps if needed.
  • Maintain patient records and ensure accurate documentation of all procedures.
  • Educate patients on the ultrasound process and provide comfort and support throughout the procedure.
  • Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • BLS
  • Current certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in performing vascular ultrasound procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of vascular anatomy and pathology.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
