About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP, Corporate Control Champion Lead to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Global Control Champion team, providing high-quality SOX and control compliance support, and being actively involved in major business initiatives such as system implementations, process changes, and acquisitions. This role requires a strategic leader who can oversee the team's day-to-day activities, develop and execute the Annual Control Project Plan, and ensure the team is a valuable business partner, providing substantial insight and support to the finance teams. The VP will also be the corporate lead for various control and process initiatives, including SOX 404 requirements for complex transactions, and will work closely with the internal audit function and external auditors to maintain a strong control environment. Candidates for this role at the company should have a minimum of 12 years' relevant accounting experience, with a focus on internal controls and Sarbanes Oxley compliance. A CPA license is required, and public accounting experience is a must. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GAAP, financial and IT controls, and leading business practices. They should be adept at managing multiple projects, developing a high-performance team, and be committed to the values of curiosity, collaboration, and commitment. The role demands a professional with exceptional communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a proven track record of supporting and advising senior management on risk and control issues.
